We currently have openings in the following camp sessions:

Inventor’s Workshop (ages 12 and up)
June 27-July 1

Advanced Astronaut Training Camp (includes 1-day SCUBA activity)
ages 10-13
Session 1: July 11-15

Aquatic Robotics (this camp also has the option of adding the Advanced Aquatic Robotics camp)
ages 12 and up
July 18-22

To apply for a scholarship, please complete this brief online form. Eligible applicants will be contacted with details on how to register.

Young Astronaut Training Camp

Young astronauts will participate in a variety of astronaut training and astronomy activities. After completing their training, they will go on a mission to the International Space Station. In addition, they will make and take home many “out-of-this-world” projects, such as rockets, space food, and their very own spacesuit!

Advanced Astronaut Training Camp

In this unique and popular camp, participants will experience what it would be like to train as a real NASA astronaut. Activities will include mental and physical challenges as well as design competitions. In addition, advanced astronauts will learn basic SCUBA diving skills that will enable them to participate in a one-day underwater spacewalk training simulation. SCUBA training and gear are included in this camp.

(NOTE: SCUBA participants must be at least 10 years old and medically fit to dive. Additional forms are required to register for this camp.)

Advanced Rocketeering

Kids who love designing, building, and launching rockets will get a “blast” out of this camp.  Young rocket scientists will spend the week using specialty software to design, build, and launch their own rockets.  They will also build their very own electronic launch systems and platforms.

Ages: 10 and up
Dates: June 13-17
Time: 9:00 am – 3:00 pm
Cost: $275

Inventors’ Workshop

This is the camp that Thomas Edison wishes he could have attended.  Young inventors and innovators will love spending time messing about with the inner-workings of everyday gadgets and then using them to engineer solutions to challenges.  We’ll provide the tools and expertise to help your Young Edison create a masterful “innovention”.

Ages: 12 and up

Time: 9:00 am – 3:00 pm

Cost: $275

Aquatic Robotics

Make a splash this summer! Using devices such as soldering irons, rotary drills and lots of perseverance, participants will learn basic robotics and build their own custom SeaPerch underwater rover/ROV.  They will then learn the basics of SCUBA and participate in a specially designed human/robot hybrid “weightless” mission.

Ages: 12 and up
Dates: July 18-22
Time: 9:00 am – 3:00 pm
Cost: $350

Advanced Aquatic Robotics

This camp is for participants who have previously attended the Aquatic Robotics or Underwater Expeditions camp.  Participants will have an opportunity to give their SeaPerch a complete tune-up and/or makeover while refreshing their knowledge of the tools and components used to build it.  They will enhance their rover with a selection of modifications (such as lights, cameras, extra motors, and joystick controllers) to make their ROV one of a kind.

(Note: Campers must bring their own previously-built SeaPerch to participate in this camp.)

Ages: 12 and up
